Carpet Spot and Stain Removers

We Have Your Carpet Spotting Solutions!
The reason "one product" supermarket or hardware store carpet spot and stain removers don't work is because there are five types of household carpet stains. No single spot and stain remover works on all five types of stains, which means you need the right stain remover for your needs!

At Last! PROFESSIONAL Carpet Spotting Solutions for the Consumer's Needs!

Did you know that the number one reason homeowners call a professional carpet cleaner is because of spots and stains on his or her carpets and rugs? While all carpeting requires professional cleaning at least once a year to keep it clean, fresh and looking its best, spots and stains can ruin the otherwise beautiful appearance of the carpet in your home.

That's why the question professional carpet cleaners always hear at the end of every cleaning job is, "What do I do if I spill something on the carpet in between cleanings?"

There's been no easy answer to that question because until now, all consumers have had access to are "one product" stain removers available at supermarkets or hardware stores. And while these products might remove some of the most basic stains, they fail on many common household stains and spills.

The reason for this is simple. Because there are many different types of stains you need different types of stain removers to remove them! One stain remover simply can't do the job on every type of stain and spill.

The Five Types of Household Stains

There are five categories of stains typically found in the home. Whether or not you get certain types of stains in your home depends on your lifestyle. For example, if you don't have pets, you are unlikely to need a pet stain and odor remover on hand. But if you have small children, you'll probably be faced with juice and dye stains on your carpets and rugs from food and beverage spills from time to time.

That's why Bane-Clene has four specialty carpet stain removers for the consumer, one for each group of stains found in the home! You can select only those necessary for your particular lifestyle! And used correctly, these professionally formulated carpet spot and stain removers will remove practically every stain and spill you come across safely and easily.

Fast Action is the Key

The key to successful stain removal is fast action. That's why we recommend that you keep all the stain removers that apply to your particular lifestyle on hand. That way, they're right there when you need them!

These four carpet spot and stain removers are extremely effective formulations developed by professional carpet cleaners. And while they will often work wonders on old spots and stains, always try to perform stain removal immediately or as soon as possible. The sooner you treat a spill the more likely you will remove it completely, keeping your carpeting looking great and preventing a small problem from turning into a big one.

We also recommend that you have your local Bane-Clene carpet cleaning professional treat your carpets with DuPont Teflon, Sta-Clene or Bane-Guard carpet protector after cleaning to protect carpets and allow stains and spills to come out even more easily.

A Big Value

Packaged in quarts instead of small bottles like most carpet stain removers, these four carpet spot and stain removers are not only an outstanding value but you'll have the product when you need it! And, the bottles have an easy-grip neck and flip top applicator that lets you apply just the right amount of stain remover to the spill.

Safe to Use But Use Common Sense Too!

These four carpet spot and stain removers are simple and easy to use with clear directions. They are non-toxic and contain no bleaches or chlorinated solvents and are safe to use. But as with any cleaning product, keep them stored securely and out of reach of children and keep children, pets and grown-ups off of stained areas until completely dry. And always follow all label instructions carefully!

Always Test Before Using

All stain removers must be tested prior to use! Pretest stain remover in an inconspicuous area of the carpet to make certain it will not damage the carpet fibers or dyes. After applying several drops to the test area, hold a white cloth on the wet area for ten seconds. Examine the white cloth for color transfer and examine the carpet for color change, color migration (bleeding), texture change or other problem or damage to the carpet. Allow test area to dry and examine again for any of the aforementioned problems. If any of these problems occurs, DO NOT ATTEMPT STAIN REMOVAL and call a professional Bane-Clene carpet cleaner! Do not use on Oriental rugs.

Clean Out the Cabinet Under Your Sink!

Once you have your supply of these carpet and rug spot and stain removers, get rid of those supermarket stain removers cluttering up the cabinet under your sink! Many of those products actually create more problems than they solve. Just ask any professional carpet cleaner who is asked to come in and remove a stain after it's been treated with those products (and everything else in the house!)

What to Do When You Can't Remove a Stain

When a spot or stain on your carpet doesn't respond to treatment with the stain removers, it's time to call in a pro! Do not try every other stain remover or cleaner in the house as this will often set the stain, creating a permanent stain! Bane-Clene carpet cleaning professionals have special training; access to highly specialized stain removal agents and equipment as well as years of experience. Find a professional carpet cleaner in your area. A service charge for a stain removal call is normal and customary, though some cleaners may reduce or waive this fee if other cleaning services are performed at the same time.

Please be aware that no stain remover can remove every stain and that severe stains may require the services of a professional carpet cleaner. Because a stain remover does not remove one stain in a general category (such as a particular food dye for example) does not mean that it will not remove others and therefore is still of value to have on hand.

When the spilled coffee or tea contains large amounts of cream and/or sugar, pre-treat with General Spotter (above).

63909 Juice & Dye Stain Remover - 1 Quart
Juice & Dye Stain Remover: Because vivid colors and dyes are so common in childrens' food, beverages and medications, tough dye stains on carpet can occur frequently. Juice and Dye Stain Remover does an amazing job removing these dye stains from carpet, including fruit juices and other colored drinks. Also excellent for removing wine stains.
Warning: Use Juice & Dye Stain Remover at your own risk! We are not responsible if these procedures harm the carpet. Incorrectly using this product can permanently damage carpet! These techniques are considered a last-ditch effort on difficult dye stains. If you are not comfortable with performing these procedures, call a professional carpet cleaner.
If initial treatment does not remove the stain from the carpet, put Juice and Dye Stain Remover on stain, agitate it into the fibers and let it sit overnight. If the stain is still there in the morning, you can try and use heat to accelerate the stain remover, with two options:
OPTION 1: Put Juice and Dye Stain Remover on the stain, and then use a hair dryer on the highest heat setting to heat up the area. Be very careful not to overheat the area as you can melt the carpet fibers! Look carefully to observe whether or not the stain is starting to disappear. If it is, continue to heat the area until it is completely removed. If you do not observe results, go to option 2.
OPTION 2: Get a white terry cloth towel. IMPORTATNT -- the towel MUST be white - if it is colored, you risk transferring the dye from the towel to your carpet! Get the towel wet with water. Put Juice and Dye Stain Remover directly on the stain, fold the wet towel in half, and place it over the stain. Use a standard clothes iron on the highest heat setting WITH steam, and put it on towel for NO MORE than 30 seconds. Pick the towel up and see if the stain is being removed. It will NOT transfer into the towel although the towel will turn yellow during this process, but you can wash the towel with mild household bleach, and the yellowing should come out. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD YOU EVER USE BLEACH ON THE CARPET! If the stain is beginning to disappear, repeat the above treatment. If the stain is not disappearing, STOP. Sometimes, dye stains will not be removed using this technique because they are organic in nature. In such cases, try Spotting Solutions Coffee and Tea Stain Remover, straight from the bottle (no heat activation).
